I began renting an outdoor unit with Public Storage in 2022 at $219.95 per month. Since then, the company has repeatedly applied “market rate” increases, and my monthly rate has now climbed to $452.00 for the same outdoor unit at an older facility. I have called multiple times requesting a rate adjustment. Each time I was told increases are based on market conditions, yet the increases continue. What makes this even more difficult to understand is that I currently rent a larger, newer, climate-controlled indoor unit nearby for $275 per month. It is hard to justify paying significantly more for an older, outdoor space. The pricing structure feels inconsistent and excessive. Long-term customers should not be penalized with continual increases that far exceed comparable local options. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this company.
