We rented a unit for only 3 months, and all of our items were covered in rat poop and pee. Even after just a month we noticed droppings everywhere and some of our things being bit through. It is ridiculous. It's such a bummer that we had to get rid of so much furniture and other items because they were pooped/peed on or chewed through. You're basically paying for your stuff to get trashed. NOT worth it!! If you absolutely need to go with this place, make sure to secure your things very well (no open boxes, bags, or furniture). This picture is after we moved all of our stuff out, after just 3 months look how much rat poop there is, not including the ones on our stuff. It's disgusting.

I am a senior citizen and want to commend and applaud Stacy at Colton Public Storage because she has made me feel welcome. She acknowledges my presence and listens intently to my questions and my needs. She is always working, either in the office or out in the property. She's quick to respond to text or voicemail messages. She displays great skill and talent as an Public Storage employee.

I do acknowledge first of all that I did not check the gate hours prior to renting a unit from this location. So I rented a unit online and paid for the first got the second month free loaded up the truck went down to the facility. got there a little bit after six and gate was locked. Location was closed. Cannot get into unit cannot get into facility at that point that to myself 6 PM closing time doesn’t work with me so I called the number to Close out unit get refund couldn’t get a hold of anyone In facility Had no one living on property to oversee facility as some storage locations do. Was told that Per policy, we can only issue a refund if the account closed the same day of your move-in date now being that there was no one to speak to after 6 PM how does the company give you any time to close the account on the same day when they’re closed after 6 PM very unhappy with the way That I’m being treated contacted the branch they said a district manager will get back to me whether or not I’ll get a refund or not again I never access the gate never moved in. I tried calling the same night. I left a voicemail followed up the next morning, and I closed the account immediately. And also, why is it that on one star or two star reviews? None of the employees are responding to any of them they sure do respond to the five star review reviews.

There are rats in our unit. They chewed on our garden hose and some tubes for washer. Now the washer leaks water. This place sucks.

Units on back constantly get broken into from river side. No one had courtesy to mention units being broken into. No cameras on back side, seems unbelievable with constant theft happening. Super dusty units all over. Not worth it, definitely recommend use your own insurance. Beware.
