Public Storage - Costa Mesa - 1725 Pomona Ave

All went well

There are specials to save money everywhere else, but not this place. I really, really wish it was less expensive because I would like to keep a storage unit always, instead of repeatedly short term stints there. The lady who runs the place is smart and really kind about taking the time to look at other facilities for me to find exactly what I need- different sizes etc... I have never used the other places she finds because I like this place. I've been to other storage facilities and they can feel like a half way house for homeless people or a creepy catacomb of rooms with lights that go out if the timer hits 0. This one is clean, not creepy and the employees are surprisingly bright and sensible. I don't know why it's surprising to find bright employees at a place like this, but it is. It's a refreshing experience to expect a mundane hassle (who looks forward to dealing w storage?) and find a completely pleasant, competent employee who is willing to spend as much time as needed to make it as good as possible. She also goes over the fine print about 100X as though she understands what a pain it is if you don't know the deal.

I picked public storage based on reviews from everyone else in Yelp. Barbara is excellent and has amazing customer service skills. She is kind, patient and thorough when helping you find the most perfect unit.
