Great on site manager - Old, smelly building
The onsite manager couldn't have been better. BUT, the units and the building smelled musky and I'm worried about the clothes and bedding i have in the unit, I purchased bags and moisture collecting products to help but am still worried. The inside of the unit was all wood and smelled musky like there was moisture in there.

Move in costs misleading
When I reserved a storage unit online, I picked the location, the size and as stated, a person from the facility called and confirmed with me and I assured them I'd be in that day to finish the transaction. The website quoted a monthly rent of $174 and a one time administrative fee of $22, with a "total move in cost of $196". Upon signing the paperwork I was informed that there is a mandatory $11/month insurance fee which technically brings the monthly cost up to $185 and the move in costs to $207. If you're going to charge a reoccurring fee, be it insurance, cleaning, maintenance, etc, disclose it up front. People care about how much it will cost per month first, then maybe what the rent goes to. It's a small fix, but I think it's an important one.
