I am furious with Public Storage in San Carlos. They have recently increased my monthly price by 32% without any reasoning. After calling in and trying for too long to get a hold of someone, my request was submitted. I was told it would take up to 72 hours to get hear back, about 30 mins later I got call saying it was denied. I learned the rate increase was due to "market value". This place is next to a dump and smells of rotting trash every time I go there. They have rat traps everywhere and dirt and dust constantly gets blown into my unit. My rate has done nothing but increase and haven't even been with them for a year. When I finally got someone on the line they start by rambling off fine print about how they can increase rates at anytime. I will tell everyone never to use this rental place and to take their money elsewhere. An absolutely horrible experience with this location and the company as a whole. I cannot wait to get my belongings out of there.

My daughter rented a space and paid over two years. During that time, they increased the rent without informing her by nearly 45%. They then put a lien on her unit as her card was stolen and she could not input a new card in their system from Europe. I went in to talk with the "manager" Vickie. Awful experience. Asked her simple questions and she was deflective, rude and did everything possible to not be helpful. I WILL NEVER EVER RENT FROM PUBLIC STORAGE AGAIN AND WOULD RECMOMEND AVERYONE TO STAY WAY FROM THIS LOCATION AND COMPANY AS THEY HAVE BEEN ATROCIOUS!!!!!!!

I've used Public storage off and on over the 20 years I have lived in San Carlos. They have lots of locations between San Carlos and Redwood City. The app is easy to use and the staff is great too. I've known the manager for almost 10 years and she will always helpful, understanding and knowledgable.
