DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT rent from Extra Space Storage. 1st, there is NO security. Yes, it’s gated & there are cameras outside, but I believe it’s only for appearances. I cannot go to my unit unless someone is with me due to an incident where my safety was threatened & I had to call the police. There is no way to contact anyone who works there after the officer closes. And don’t even try to contact corporate, it’s not happening. 2nd, the temperature in my “climate controlled” unit is supposed to be between 55-80 degrees, it’s actually 88-92 degrees. So when supposedly the roof leaked & water damaged some of my valuable property, mold is in my unit, & I may lose everything. 3rd, the deceptive pricing is out of control. The price changes without notice. For a unit I pay almost $200 a month for I should be able to access my property 24/7, but that’s a lie as well.
