They are so pleasant to speak with and will work with you if you get stuck on something. Its just so pleasant to have people that really aim to please their customers. I went to the property and the general manager , Kiana had my unit number and directions to the unit all ready for me. She was just amazing and so friendly. I was very happy with the entire process. I have been at CubeSmart in Martinez for one month and it has been the absolute Worst storage facility experience of my life. Despite the fact that it is an absolute nightmare for me to relocate all of my items from three different units I will be doing that ASAP. I initially had a good experience and I thought the on-site manager was very nice and friendly. However, you can immediately see that the unit themselves are in very poor condition. There are large gaps at the bottoms of each one allowing a lot of entry of rodents and dirt. Even worse because this is very dangerous, there are large metal door guides attached to the ground that are such a horribly dangerous trip hazard I anticipate a large lawsuit very soon. I could go on for pages about the horrible communication but suffice it to say I physically stopped into the office two times and made multiple phone calls over a 10 day period attempting to get a third unit under a high-pressure timing situation and nobody would ever bother to get back to me. They ended up having some excuse about their Wi-Fi being down but that doesn't explain why they wouldn't get back to me after I physically stopped in the office and left notes . Also, never sign up for automatic payment payments or register your credit card with them because they will just take money off your card whenever they feel like it. The final straw that sent me over the edge into literal screaming hysteria was the fact that I was under an enormous pressure situation with work where I needed to access my units before 7:30AM. I literally have in my hand my initial sign up in the handwriting of the on-site manager saying that access hours are 6 AM to 10 PM although office hours begin at 9:30 AM. I arrived there the day before yesterday at 7:20 AM and I could not gain entry because it said I was there too early. I called and called and called and finally got a human on the1-800 number chat and the woman on the chat told me that access hours do not begin until 9:30am. I was genuinely hysterical with tears streaming down my face sending her photos of my note from the manager and telling her she was absolutely wrong and nobody on earth would ever put their stuff at a storage facility that doesn't allow access until 9:30 AM. Of course she didn't believe me of course she didn't help me instead she just kept telling me repeatedly that I was wrong. She finally told me she would have somebody contact me within 15 minutes. Nobody ever did. Finally a guy showed up associated with a moving company that stores their crap there and who apparently has some kind of elite access because he was able to get inside. So I followed him in and went to my unit and... Wait for it, wait for it... There was literally a man sleeping in a car parked in front of one of my units!!!! I am not making this up. I actually did not know it was possible to hate a storage facility as much as I hate CubeSmart. Having just paid a lot of money to move three large units full of staging furniture including truck rental and manpower just one month ago you can imagine the last thing on earth I want to do is move facilities again. But it doesn't matter I cannot stay at this place -- it's not worth the cheap price to be in screaming hysterics at 7 AM because Cubesmart are such sadists and hate their customers so much, only to come face-to-face with some guy sleeping in a car in front of your unit. I look forward to the news of their bankruptcy after some poor person trips and breaks both legs because of their dangerous facility set up not to mention catching the Hanta virus from all of the rats. I wish I could give negative stars.
