I had a very frustrating experience at this Public Storage location today. I drove about 30 minutes to this facility after speaking with someone on the phone and making a reservation for a unit that I was told would be $10 a month. When I arrived, the employee had me standing outside for a while before eventually opening the door. Once I got inside, she acted like she had no idea what reservation I was talking about and told me I needed to make a new reservation because the unit was $20 a month. I tried to be understanding because it seemed like she might have been new or unsure of the process. We walked to view the unit and return to finish signing up and I received a gate code. I explained multiple times that I already had a lock and key and did not need to purchase one. She insisted that I had to buy their lock but said I could simply return it afterward. After completing the purchase, I immediately asked to return the lock since I already had one. At that point she told me I needed to go back to the unit and get the key from inside in order to process the return. When I tried to go back through the gate, the gate code she gave me did not work. I went back to the office and told her that at that point I just wanted to cancel the unit entirely because the process had already been very inconvenient. Strangely, she was suddenly able to process the return for the lock right away from the computer, even though she had just told me I needed the physical key to return it. Overall the entire experience felt disorganized and confusing. I drove 30 minutes expecting a quick and simple process but instead dealt with incorrect information, a gate code that didn’t work, and inconsistent instructions. Very disappointing experience. UPDATE******** I wanted to update my previous review after being contacted by the district manager, Ryan. He was extremely kind, professional, and genuinely helpful in resolving the situation. Ryan reached out to me directly, listened to my concerns about the experience I had at the previous location, and immediately worked to make things right. He moved my reservation to a location that is much closer to me and even provided two months free to make up for the inconvenience I experienced. I really appreciated how quickly and respectfully he handled everything. It showed that Public Storage truly cares about customer service and making sure their customers are taken care of when something goes wrong. Because of Ryan’s help, my overall experience with Public Storage has completely turned around, and I’m very thankful for his support. Great customer service can make all the difference.

I have used this facility for over a year now. Dawn by far is the best employee that I have ever encountered working there. She is consistent, she follows through with her word, she is dependable, she is a very hard worker and this facility did an amazing job when they decided to hire her. She made my move out experience so much easier driving from out of state in bad weather conditions. She addressed any concerns I had immediately, she really and truly cares about this facility, to be honest, I hate that I moved out when it’s my first time meeting her. However, for those looking to rent a unit in Navarre, go to public storage and speak with Dawn at the front desk. She truly changed my view on the facility and made my moving day go as smooth as possible. If these reviews are monitored by management, you scored by hiring Dawn. She deserves a raise if you ask me. She is AMAZING! Trust me I have rented there for so long and I cannot say enough good things about her. When looking to rent somewhere it’s not only the facility but more importantly the staff at the front desk. They make or break your experience (in my opinion after renting storage units from various facilities in numerous states). No place is perfect all the time however if you’re looking to rent a unit, Dawn will have your back. I felt like I needed to write a review because 1) management needs to know that she should be recognized. 2) others feel safe and in good hands if they choose to rent here at the Navarre location, Thank you Dawn for all of your help not only when I called last week, but also today. You were the best!

Raised the rates for my unit yet again. Also, tried several times to make a payment on the website and wouldn't let me complete the payment unless I'm enrolled in auto-pay. *update : Still hadn't gotten the payment by website resolved. However was contacted by the local representative who suggested I make my payment through the app. I did not have the app on my phone. After downloading it and trying to make my payment it worked the first time without prompting for autopay to complete my payment. TY Ryan for assisting me before my anxiety got out of hand.

When I came to learn information about storage, customer service representatives, Mike, was super knowledgeable and helpful, polite and courteous. He helped me pick right storage unit for me and I signed up right away. Great service. Thank you very much Mike!

My experience with Public Storage has always been helpful and easy! My time speaking with Evan was friendly, every question I’ve had has always been answered quickly. 👏👏👏
