Called 8/7 for information. Was given info via telephone and followed up with an email. So far so good. Got my reservation via email immediately. Again so far so good. 8/8 started getting bombarded with emails stating how thrilled they were for me to be a tenant. Then phone calls started inquiring when I would be to the site. I spoke with someone? and had responded that I would be there shortly, even apologized for perhaps keeping the “ office manager” from having lunch? I was under the impression from 8/7 phone call that someone would be on site and was told that I could finish paperwork “ at the office”. Folks… there IS NO OFFICE OR MANAGER ON SITE! Guillian(sp?) my customer contact on 8/8 received my call upon arrival , talked me through the Docusign type format on my phone. Certain aspects were not working properly, ie issues with signature and initial boxes contained in the documents. Guillian was becoming frustrated that the process was taking too long apparently. After several minutes of back and forth, she THEN indicated to me that they were having issues with the software. No kidding! So of course the money parts in the contract worked just fine. Was then given my keypad passcode to access the gate. On the phone the whole time, I was instructed to go to the unit, remove green tag from lock hasp and inside would be my unit padlock. NOPE! No lock, ran to Home Depot to get a lock $20 later. Apparently there are new owners now. Caveat emptor. River view is economical and my onboarding experience was not convenient. Ask any and all questions of management beforehand. Finally, Guillian “suggested” that I give her a 5 star rating because she felt that had done everything correctly. I’m remaining there because of fixed income budget, that’s it. I have customer service background, so I know how to be polite. Today’s situation was a challenge that didn’t have to occur.
