I made the switch from Public Storage to here (known as “Northside Mini Storage” when I made the switch) around a year and a half ago. I’m paying roughly $70 less for the exact same size unit I’d had at the other place! Not that long ago they installed a gate at the entrance. Each time you wanted to enter the property you’d have to enter a code for the gate to open. Upon leaving you’d stop your vehicle within a certain distance from the gate and it would automatically open so you could exit. That was back when they allowed you 24/7 access to your storage unit. I LOVED the fact that it was 24/7 access!!! Initially, that and of course the price difference were the reason I made the switch to this location. The reason I chose 4 stars instead of 5 is because they changed the 24/7 access to 6am - 10pm. The few visits I’ve made since the access change I’ve noticed the gate has been open upon arrival. I’m assuming they keep it open now during the access hours. Although I’m bummed about the change in access hours … the price, location, and cleanliness of my unit & the property overall still makes me feel confident that I made the right choice! So, yes I do recommend them for your storage needs.

For the most part, the experience was good. Employees were very helpful, once you got a hold of them. I rented a climate controlled unit. The climate controlled area was kept very clean. I never saw any indication of insects or mice. Dislikes: sometimes the difficulty in reaching the site manager. Sometimes, they’d called back in a couple hours sometimes the next day. However, all of my calls were returned within 24 hours. The reason I terminated my lease was because of rent increase. I rented the unit for, approximately, 2 years, 6 months. In that time there had been 3 price increases. Two were within 10 months of each other. The final increase and the reason I terminated was because of a $70.00, per month, increase.

Very convenient to book the new unit. Offered a promo so only had to pay ad admin fee to start! Highly recommend as this is my first time renting a storage unit! Thanks!
