ZERO STARS - Someone else's items were in my unit and my lock was missing when I went on Friday 05/23/2025. My items were ransacked and some were missing. No one can tell me where or when my lock was removed. Called police but then said it doesn't look like a break in, it looks like someone was moved in my unit while I was still in there. The management of the unit sent two 8-9 year old boys to help me remove the other persons things so I could try to get to my stuff. They stayed about 15 minutes and were more interested in playing with what I was pulling out then helping. I did get a file number with the police so I can call and tell them what I was misssing. My things were broken, ransacked and some missing. I have been using this place since 05/2021. This is horrible. My unit was supposed to be a/c controlled - It was over 90 degrees in there on 05/23/2025. How long it has had no a/c I do not know.

Square Space Storage offers unsafe storage and does not maintain their facilities. Look elsewhere if you want a safe place to store items. We stored our belongings here this past summer, and upon going to check on them (a month after last check-in), our lock and all of our belonging were stolen. Upon calling management, Square Space explained they were aware of multiple robberies, yet they never notified us. Additionally, they were not able to provide any surveillance footage to us, despite offering “camera surveillance.” Upon further investigation, their exterior gate had been broken from as early as May until September.

The only problem I have had is with the gate not opening when trying to leave. Lately the gate has been left open, but that means that my units or no longer as secure.

Water damage to my property. Paying insurance for NOTHING! No one can tell me WHAT INSURANCE company I have been paying since April 4th. Square space does NOT even know. I moved out, notified them and they are still saying I owe. Management won’t return calls, the reps are rude and don’t leave proper notations. I NEVER spoke to or heard from a manager to curse anyone out. Its clear as day I was moved out after water damage to my unit! That I notified to “staff”. My stuff surely wasn’t going to sit in a mold invested… supposedly climate control, but the air was ALWAYS OFF in unit. After being told inaccurate information from the staff regarding insurance, I finally found out the correct insurance carrier.

Renters beware! Your property may not be safe at Square Space Storage on 14015 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70815. Our camper was stolen from site 5113 and we've heard of another camper stolen recently and lots of other stolen items like boat motors and catalytic converters. This business is not truly secured by a gate and camera as renters are led to believe. Owner: Thanks for your response and we did observe new cameras but they are of no good if we cannot obtain camera footage and your manager will not work with law enforcement to help us. I understand that it's a cumbersome task to review film footage over a period of time, but has someone simply gone back to the oldest date available to see whether our camper was present on that day? Here are the reports we have received from others about thefts at this location and I have to believe they would have made you aware, just as we did: 1) "Good afternoon.. I have a family member that had a 40 foot trailer stolen from this same place a couple months ago." 2) "They have some serious theft issues that I’m not sure any of us individually realize. My space there mostly sits empty but sometime post Ida and before February I had a prop stolen. Recently a fiend had a catalytic converter stolen from their RV." 3) "My mom’s catalytic converter was just stolen. I had mine fixed and moved out of there.",
