This is a great facility and they have always been available when I have questions. I have had a unit there for two years and I sleep good knowing that they have a secure facility. The ease of access to the unit and paying through app makes it far superior than other storage units. Highly recommend using East Lansing Storage for all your storage and UHaul needs.

I would never rent from this storage facility. They had a drainage issue and caused my items to be damaged with water/mold/mildew. My mattress, box springs, furniture and other items are ruined!!! I called and spoke to the manager and she said she couldn’t do anything about it. I’m very very upset. I asked them to right the situation but the manager said she couldn’t. I bought the Bader insurance from them but they didn’t cover drainage issues. I’m out for the storage costs-which they charged me for twice and about $2000. There was actual visual water spots and stains and rusting on the cement of my storage unit. Why would they rent a unit that leaks? I would never rent from them again and advise no one else to either. Very upset!!!!!

9/2/25 Edit: 2 months after getting the unit my price went up $30/month from $169 to $199. That's $209 with the insurance. Planned on staying here for a year but I'm not paying $300 more than I originally agreed on for the year. Called and got disconnected twice. When I finally got through, I was told there's nothing that can be done. As far as the units are concerned, I haven't had any issues, but raising rates right after signing up is bad business in my opinion. If you intend on keeping your stuff here longer than a month, be warned. Unfortunate that I'll be needing to shop around and spend time moving stuff when I thought I found a good place. --------- Original: Friendly staff. She had 3 people at the desk 15 minutes before closing, and was working alone, but was still patient. The units are nice and clean. The place has cameras all around. The gate and units are controlled by an app which is nice. No need to fumble with a key or combination. I would recommend this place to anyone looking.

I've now been storing here for 8+ months and have been thoroughly impressed by the staff, security, bluetooth functionality, and overall experience. Kenzie and D'Paris have been extremely helpful especially when we run into the occasional glitch with the storage software. The facility looks very nice but also feels safe enough for my girlfriend to feel comfortable grabbing things out of our unit after dark. We have one of the temperature controlled units and plan on staying for the foreseeable future.

Not super impressed with the facility itself, too many issues to even list, and won’t rent from them again. However, Kenzie did right by me. I was reimbursed for several wrongful charges to my account, which I greatly appreciate. We followed the rules and all of the fine print and she knew it and backed me up. She was wonderful to work with and I recommend if anyone else has issues at ELS to please ask for her. She’s a gem. Let’s hope the insurance I purchased for all the rain damage goes smoother! Sounds like rain damage is common.
