Devon self Storage is absolutely Terrible!!! The prices are ridiculous and outrageous they have went up on my price twice since the took over 5 months ago and got the nerve to charge 20% late fee God forbid you have to be late.. Cube Smart was way better and far more reasonable. I gotta get out of there.

The positive - the facility is nice and the manager is friendly and helpful. The negative- In the course of 3 years my rent went from less than $150 to what would have been $278 at my next increase, when at the same time the on-line advertised starting rate was $89 for a 10 x 10 unit, exactly like the one I was in.. When I brought this to the manager's attention the only recourse I had, to get a lower rate was to downsize, move out of mine into one of the same size a few units down, or leave and go to a competing facility. Due to time and circumstance, I chose to go through the inconvenience of moving a few units down.The whole process was illogical. The only other problem was on several occasions and at various times, I would come to the office and find the office closed. In the future, I will probably move to a competing facility, which has a lower starting rate and lower incremental rate increases. .

Be careful here. Horrible internal communication at this company that could cost you money when you move out. My mother was renting a unit from this location. She recently moved out because prices were getting too high. She called and left a message to notify them of her move out at the beginning of the month, which wasn't returned. She also called the 888 number for this company to confirm move out. Spoke with someone regarding her move out date and they told her someone would call her back to discuss reimbursement of funds since she moved out at the very beginning of the month, despite having paid through the end of the month. No one called back. Two weeks later she received an invoice for the next month despite having already moved out of the unit and confirming with an employee. Management is claiming they didn't know she moved out and they won't be reimbursing her as was communicated by the person she spoke to. Unsure if this situation is because they were just bought by a new company or what, but internal communication issues shouldn't cost your customers. Be careful when you move out and get documented proof of move out date.
