I had a great experience at Extra Space Storage thanks to Joe and Scott. They were both incredibly helpful, friendly, and easy to work with. The facility was clean, well-organized, and the whole process was smooth. Joe and Scott went out of their way to help me get settled with my unit, and their customer service really stood out. They even helped by passing along a set of extra keys that another renter had left behind, which saved me a trip and showed how thoughtful they are about helping customers. Really appreciate their professionalism and kindness. Highly recommend this location if you’re looking for storage!

The service is great and the place is very clean but rates are tricky. Joe and his team always calls me back right away if I don’t happen get them on the first call. He’s helped me with rates and finding the right unit for me. The one issue I do have is that prices keep going up. Maybe it’s just how this industry works but after the promotional rate expires, they almost doubled my payment. I had to call for a slight reduction but not nearly what it was when I signed up and it’s only for 6-9 months then they will raise it again. At which point I’ll have to find another location with better rates unless they can really help me. Try to lock in as long as possible and apparently the best rates are in the fall. They said springtime, rates go up.

I rented two storage units today, Saturday, November 1, 2025, and the assistant manager Scott was awesome. He made my reservation for me earlier in the week and guaranteed me a rate that was the best of all the storage facilities in the vicinity. It’s very clean and it’s the only storage facility that I am aware of that has four elevators; one at each entrance. Scott was professional, courteous and pleasant to work with and I look forward to the pleasure of being a tenant at this Extra Space Storage location on Micik Lane in Mahwah, New Jersey. I thank Scott for his gracious assistance over the last week or so, and I recommend to anyone needing a storage facility to contact Scott. He’ll give you great service. E.S. Nilgud (GD)

Very disappointing experience with this Extra Space Storage location. The manager (Joe) was completely unhelpful when I explained that I couldn’t make my payment because their online payment system was not working. Despite this being an issue on their end, I was still charged a late fee. There was no effort to assist, no flexibility, and no accountability for the malfunctioning payment gateway. Customer service was poor, and the situation was handled in an unfriendly and dismissive manner. I would not recommend this location unless you’re prepared to deal with rigid policies and unhelpful management when problems arise.
