The Westwood location has the best customer service anyone could ask for. Andrew and Steve are extremely knowledgeable and thorough. I was shocked when I saw how clean the bathroom was, not to mention the easy access. It’s incredible how easy it was to access my storage unit with the many elevators and carts they have on site. I have had many storage units in my moves over the years, and Extra Space Storage in Westwood is the only place I’ll ever trust my belongings to be kept in a climate controlled and safe environment. If I could give 10 GOLD STARS I would!

Honestly, it's difficult to write a good review of Extra Space Storage (the company), however, this location is better than most, and I think that's worth pointing out. On the corporate side, they're terribly monopolistic and purposefully deceitful with their bait and hook strategy of increasing, sometimes doubling rents after only 2.5 months, and only allowing pre-payment of up to 6 months. But you need storage, right? So you're going to need to succumb to their greed, because they have a monopoly on climate controlled self storage, and that's just how it is. So looking at it from that perspective, you know what? Westwood, Madison Ave is honestly one of the better locations you may be fortunate enough to find yourself, in comparison to others. Why? Great parking, multiple covered bays for backing in, very wide entry doors, very wide elevator doors, clean new spaces and roll-up doors, solid building, great ventilation, with no excessive humidity. It was built from scratch to be a storage place, unlike some ESS that are converted warehouses, with more narrow entrances, elevators, and poor access. Also, this location is not in a flood plain like some, so no 100 year flood risk. But the BEST asset available at Westwood, Madison Ave that you can't find at any other location is definitely Andrew, Daniel, and the rest of the staff there. They are always enthusiastically ready and willing to go above and beyond, to help you with whatever you need, no matter how complex. Having genuinely good people like them at a well thought out and operated location like this, definitely softens the harsh reality that is otherwise a soulless corporation that squeezes hard working people out of every last penny they can get their hands on. Other ESS locations could learn a lot from Westwood, Madison Ave, a real diamond in the rough.

A gentleman named Steve is the individual that we got to deal with. He was very accommodating and the tentative. He did not try to upsell us and he was honest with us about the costs where we were leaving our family's precious items for a short time. Thank you extra storage space for having an employee like Steve and the experience was awesome.
