Very friendly and helpful staff. The 40% off sale makes this worth to cost. Physically the exterior security is fair to poor. The perimeter fence is simple chain link that can be easily cut or climbed over. It needs a real security fence of 8' tall galvanized steel preferably powder coated black for aesthetics. The electronic access gate and entrance doors are good. The building is well maintained, lighting is ok, not great. Regarding the units, the lift gates are flimsy and easy to cut through and the cylinder security locks would not be my first choice. One last observation, the cement floors are filthy - as in covered with grey dust. The cameras are positioned well. The elevators are excellent. Overall the Smithtown location is in a "safe" area , and its nearness to our home along with the lower cost is why I chose it. At a minimum, I highly suggest they remove the chain link fence and replace it with a real security fence.

This storage facility is hands down the best I’ve used. The building is extremely clean, bright, and well-maintained, with bathrooms available on every floor, which is such a plus. The customer service reps are amazing—friendly, professional, and you can tell they genuinely love what they do. They go above and beyond, and the experience far surpasses Public Storage, which I was previously using. I feel confident and comfortable storing my belongings here. Highly recommend!
