I rec'd a 3rd msg from storehouse Findlay, that I was late, though I had already signed up to have my bill paid from my bank on the 3rd.. Jossof, was very good on explaining how the system will work,, it was a joy dealing with him, polite, great attitude , and desire to help, I would definitely recommend him!! Overall terrible experience. Paid for my first month, showed up and couldn't even get in because they never put my gate access code in the system. Next time I showed up, the gate was broken so anybody could go in, no code required. Moved all my things out on 1-23-26, immediately contacted their customer service, who told me to email the manager. Manager is super unhelpful. Told me to go take pictures of the unit unlocked and cleaned out. I live out of town, won't be making a special trip for that, especially when it's not stated when you sign up. Manager said she would have the groundskeeper handle it. Well it is now 2-8-26, and they want me to pay for another month, because the groundskeeper hasn't gotten back to them. Been emailing back and forth about this. Absolutely ridiculous. Would avoid, plenty of other storage unit facilities in this area.
I do not recommend this storage facility. They raised my monthly rental rates by almost double within about 6 months. They offer great "starting at" rates, then wait long enough for their clients to get all of their stuff moved in and then drastically raise the rates with little notice. They are now trying to steal an extra months rent from me by saying that they don't have record of me calling to cancel my rental space. I have both text message confirmation and email confirmation of my cancellation. I even confirmed with the attendant at my time of cancellation that I would not be getting any more invoices, and they assured me that I wouldn't. Either they are not ethical and are trying to unfairly get one extra month's rent, or they are too incompetent to keep their records straight.
Starting price for the smallest unit they offered (which is a 5x10), was $50 for 2 months. Then it went to $75 a month for a couple months. Then it went up again to $98 for a couple more months. Then we get a letter in the mail not even 30 days before our next bill saying the price was yet again going up to $110 a month. This is all over the span of 15 months. In 15 months the price is nearly tripling for the SMALLEST unit . Was given the opportunity at the drop of a hat to rent a unit of the same size with a different company for 1/3 of the price and so we took it, and upon calling this old unit to let them know we moved out and were wondering about getting our last payment back since it had only been 3 days since our last payment, (and MIND YOU the billing cycle at this company works for the month after you pay, meaning I paid on my due date and ended up moving out spontaneously 3 days later and am paying for an entire month for an empty unit I moved out of), and since we were never ever in the 15 months of renting late on a payment, we were told we would absolutely not be getting a refund for any portion of the $110 rent we just paid. I asked for it to be escalated to higher management so that someone would hear me out for 60 seconds that because of the almost 3x rent increase, my family could no longer keep renting with them and had to make a last minute decision to rent from a cheaper provider in order to benefit our family, we were given the run around and got a very rude call back from someone who wasn’t even supposed to be calling me back saying we couldn’t even get a PARTIAL/PRORATED amount returned because of some very, very stupid rule about not canceling your storage for 3 days prior to your next bill or something like that. All the people on the phone that I have spoken to about this, (because this site has NO REAL PERSON ON SITE EVER), has been extremely rude and unprofessional. You would think after the price increasing almost x3 the starting price in only 15 months, that they would have a little bit of grace or compassion, especially considering again, we were NEVER late on a SINGLE payment and had to move out last minute right after a payment because it was simply too expensive, but no, was met with rude and unprofessional service with every person I spoke to. I was also told after it was escalated twice to two different people that I would get a call back with a yes or no regardless, and I was never called back and had to yet again chase them and call again after waiting for almost an entire week, and was yet again met with absolute unprofessional, rude and careless behavior from the associates of the company. At this point, I think my hard earned, entire 3/4 of my workdays money is a loss at this point and I think that is disappointing and disgusting . After paying 3x rent in 15 months and never missing a payment or paying late, it’s so sad that they are so greedy that they won’t even take the time to get one of their DM’s to make a phone call for 60 seconds and listen to a honest and genuine customer. I would NOT recommend renting from this storage space, unless you want to be charged 3x the starting price and end up having to pay $110 for 72 hours worth of storage use, because AGAIN, their billing works for the month after you pay for it, meaning I’m paying for an entire month of storage that I am not using at a unit I am moved out of because I didn’t tell them I was moving until the decision was made the day-of AFTER BEING A LOYAL AND PROBLEM-FREE CUSTOMER FOR 15 CONSECUTIVE MONTHS!
They were so helpful with everything and Kim is very kind. The storage unit was clean and I didn’t have any issues. Would definitely use this place again.
