This place takes advantage of people. The only way to get a fixed rate is to purchase a year contract. They go up continually and you have to move all of your stuff to another unit to get a better price. If you call and lock in a price on a unit,it doesn’t mean anything because they changed their rates daily. When my unit had more than doubled in price in less than a year, I asked the person at the front desk if I could get a lower rate and not have to move units and she said she would check with management and call me back. Two weeks later, I had to call back because I got an email saying that my unit was going up to almost $500 Instead of providing me an option for a smaller unit or a discount on my current unit as my current unit was priced higher than the current “market”(their words) price. and because she never called me. When I went in and asked her about it because the rates were cheaper two weeks earlier, she said, “yeah that was me, but management didn’t get back to me.” I asked her why she didn’t call me and give me a number to call someone else or the manager and she said because they didn’t get back to her. I then asked her why she didn’t call me and let me know and she said she had other things to do. It’s not her job to call me and tell me she doesn’t have any information. I guess they don’t know much about customer service—every answer I received from her was that it’s policy and she would go back to working. She apparently also was never taught that you attracted more bees with honey. A simple smile, or an apology or some empathy would go a long way. They know they have you trapped because to move everything to another unit at another facility will cost me a minimum of $500. To move to another unit within the building, which I did, cost me a day of work in $300 for help. Additionally, if you’re trying to lower your rate by moving units, you must pay the higher rate for the larger unit first before they will let you transfer then they will give you a credit for the amount. Don’t ever expect a situation where you’re going to pay less initially. The elevators rarely work (Usually, the elevator furthest from your unit does work, but they rarely both work at the same time) and you don’t have 24 hour access to your unit. The gates and elevators lock out at 10 PM . You can get out on foot, but if your vehicle is in the gate, plan on getting an Uber. And don’t bother using the “800 number in case of after hours emergencies” because it will tell you that they are closed. Yes, that happened to me. And heads up sometimes it’s a little before 10 so if the elevator doesn’t want to put you on a different floor or says something about being locked out, the clock is ticking. Definitely read the fine print on your lease. Heads up, they want a copy of your entire renters policy or homeowners policy—not just a proof of insurance or proof that you paid your bill, they want the 22 to 50 page contract Or they will charge you for insurance. I haven’t compared them to anyone other than the U-Haul franchise. But I can tell you that U-Haul gave me 24 hour drive-in access and did not go up on my rates continually. They were also much more friendly and worked with you. They also have an after hours number in case of emergency that somebody will answer. So if you’re looking for a franchise to purchase, that’ll make you a lot of money and you don’t care about customer service, I would look into buying into Cubesmart, but if you’re looking to store your property when you’re in between houses are down on your luck, this is not the place for you.

Kia and Shay are awesome!!! Clean and secure facility!!! After an online reservation, I showed up after work and Kia helped me view my unit and gave me a great orientation of the facility on my first day. I came back a couple days later right after school, (which was all day, btw) they were about close and Shay helped me sign for my key, and quickly gave me all the info I needed to move in a couple days later!!! I was able to get everything in today. Shay even helped me with a trash bag I needed for a mishap that I had at the last minute. I was able to clean up and be on my way! Great job Shay and Kia!!!
