Update : My original rating of 3 stars and review why is below. After it posted, I received a call the next day from Alex the manager. She was courteous and concerned, and told me she was trying to work with the district manager to refund me for the months that were unused. I really appreciate this kind of diligence and costumer service. It shows the business really does care what its customers leave thinking about it, something more and more rare these days. I am happy to update my review to reflect this, and have no qualms recommending them. I give credit where credit is due, so let me start with the positives. This place is very clean and very well guarded. I never saw pests or found my contents disturbed by pests in any way. I always found the climate control working, and the office staff friendly and usually readily available. So for most storage needs, I could easily recommend. The reason I'm only giving three stars is because I prepaid a year in advance because I was going to be traveling. When I was able to retrieve my contents and close out my storage unit a few months earlier than the year, I was expecting to get the unused months money back. They told me that they did not return it - that prepaying only "locked in" your monthly payment rate. They are basically then able to rent out the same storage space that I have already paid for, thereby making money on it twice! Hence the mediocre rating. Not only was I not forewarned of this when I chose prepayment, it seems a bad way to treat a customer, especially one that had paid them a large yearly sum twice, and a really poor business decision.

Office staff was very friendly and informative. Process was quick and easy. I was in and out, fairly quickly. Location is clean and seems pretty quiet.

She took the time to walk me through the options and made sure I understood how everything worked, which helped me feel confident and at ease. The facility is very clean, secure, and well taken care of. You can tell they really care about keeping it nice for their customers. Alex made the whole process simple and stress free. If you’ are looking for storage in Irving, I highly recommend Advantage Storage and definitely ask for Alex. She was wonderful!
