Extra Space Storage - 3436 - Lewisville - Denton Tap Rd

First of all, Brianna was at the front desk the day we moved in. She was incredibly helpful with answering all our questions and addressing our concerns. She was friendly and emphatic to the stress of moving-in day. Our 10x10 unit was on the second floor of bldg C. PROS: The pricing was very decent when we were shopping around. The whole area looks very safe, with the pin pad gate access and we could see plenty of security cameras all over the place. The units are clean, the hallways are well lit, and security for each one is very adequate with the lock provided. CONS: The second floor units are not labeled at all outside the bldg. Only the 1st floor units are labeled. We literally circled the entire bldg looking for our unit, only having to go in and ask Brianna where it is, only then were told you actually have to go inside Bldg C to see the layout for all the units. It would be better to have labels of 2nd floor units clearly marked on the outside. Most of all: the elevator for this location is only a passenger one, not freight elevator. It was extremely hard to maneuver a regular length sofa into it as the doors are not wide enough, not tall and spacious enough once inside. Why not install freight/cargo elevator in the beginning of a storage facility is baffling. There is the option of stairs, but again, to move heavy bulky furniture is difficult with winding stairs. We realize then the 1st floor units are much better in this sense in moving in.
