Facility Overview & What to Expect
Verified Customer Reviews
This one star review stems from the fact that people are clearly living inside units at this location in SLC. In one instance, I drove past an open unit where it was evident people were using the space to live: sleeping bags and other bedding items were laid out, chairs were positioned for use and not storage, and used take out containers were out in the open. The second time I noticed evidence of this was the last time I accessed my unit (March 7, 2026). When I opened the door, I was met with the smell of cigarettes and urine. As my until itself was undisturbed, it appeared that gaps between the walls and roof were allowing the stench to travel along the row. When my wife realized this, she yelled out in disgust, alerting the "neighbors" they shouldn't be smoking in the units. A few minutes later, the smell air-freshener wafter over, confirming our suspicion that people were indeed inside one or more the neighboring units (which were all shut and locked at the time). We brought this issue to the attention of the person working the desk that afternoon, Nico, who was friendly and seemed motivated to address the problem. However, they acknowledge that, because management does not have access to individual units, that it might be some time until an investigation of security camera footage could reveal the offending owners. I sincerely hope this issue can be resolved. These units are expressive once the teaser rate expires (we pay around $280/month). However, the location is good, the facility appears clean and secure, and the employees are friendly and helpful, and thus this cost seems reasonable. Until recently, I was happy this the service. However, it should go without saying that the fact our stored items are now being actively contaminated with the smell of cigarette smoke is completely unacceptable. I will be addressing this issue with management ASAP with the hope a resolution can be found that does not involve litigation. As such, I cannot recommend Extra Space Storage
I went in late afternoon on a Saturday and Nico was awesome! Worked with us easily, had a great personality, and did a very thorough and spending job. Looking forward to storing our stuff there.
Located close to where I'm staying. Ran into a couple of bumps on move in, but Aaron was great and fixing the minor issues quickly so I could move in. Know that you will need to purchase a special cylinder lock from them if you do not have one. Online rental will automatically add this to your invoice. Pay in person if you do not need one. Overall I had a decent experience for the short time that I needed storage. It was easy to rent online. Thank you!
Great experience overall. The facility is clean, secure, and well maintained. Access is easy, and management is responsive and professional. The units are dry and in good condition, which is very important for protecting materials and equipment. I would definitely recommend this storage location.
Well-run facility, but their pricing strategy is extremely disappointing and feels dishonest. We started renting a unit in March 2025 at $131 per month. Before signing the contract, we specifically asked how much the rate could increase annually, and we were told it would not go up by more than 5%. However, just three months after signing, our monthly fee increased by more than 60%, bringing it to $211 per month. At the time, we were living out of state and had no choice but to continue paying the higher rate. Now, at the one-year mark, we’ve been notified that the rate is increasing again by 23%, to $260 per month. This is not a small inflation adjustment — it feels like taking advantage of customers who cannot quickly remove their belongings. We are very disappointed with these pricing practices. If you’re willing to pay more than double your original rate, this facility may work for you. Otherwise, be cautious and fully understand how their pricing structure works before signing. We are now looking for another storage option, which will require us to travel out of state to handle this.
